June Reports (2)

June 5, 2009

Brother Charles, peace and blessings of the Lord to you.

I plan to order tables for Husein's hospital this month and order the window for Olya's hospital and to pay prepayment for the film shooting.

We have done two small parts of work in Yevpatoria building: sewer system connection (apartment # 3 and 4) and some outside finishing works, including installation of the windows. We have spent the funds for construction. We can do another part of work in June - do the first step of flowing in the rooms where the sure system had been done - the cost would be about $1500.We have sent 60 kids to the camp today. There will be 4 of our staff working there and two volunteers. The camp will be 21 days long. We have Galina and Faya staying in Simferopol. The Project will keep working. We have agreed with the director the arrival of American guests and their stay within 6 days. We will be working with the guests in the camp during those days.I have met with Natasha a few days ago, we discussed the plan about Savahnna group. Tomorrow we are meeting them in Simferopol airport. Then everything will go as it was planned. We are praying for everything to go successful. The matter about the second apartment rent for the adaptation center is still open. The owner is ready to rent this apartment to us. Luba will be happy to start a new ministry. Brother Charles, when you finalize your decision, we will be ready to manage all the details. We are praying for you. Respectfully.Konstantin.June 10, 2009Piece and blessings of the Lord to you, brother Charles. I would like to tell you right away that the Savannah team is doing great. They like it there in the camp and they are happy about everything. We are going to make Yevpatoria camp in a day. Everybody is ready to meet them there.I have sent you 10 pictures of the construction right before this letter. Today the workers have started the next step of work, we have discussed it. We are praying for the contruction to go without any delays and stops, just kept going step by step. Chernov's family is very thankful to everyone who has given for the construction to go on.Respectfully. Konstantin.

May Reports (2)

May 14, 2009

Dear brother Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you.

We are praying about the health of your family and your mother's.

Our God is merciful. The ministry here is going well. Unfortunately, as soon as the holiday days started here, the dollar rate went down to 7,5. It's impossible to have a guess as for where it's going next, up or down.

Construction workers in Yevpatoria had been working all of these days and they finished sewer system. We are starting works with the facade of the building - this would also involve all the outside construction works.

Respectfully. Konstantin.

May 26, 2009

Dear brother Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you.

I've got your letter. I would like to thank Phil and Cody for their donation.Praise the Lord for all the mercy and blessings he is giving.

As for Macevich family, I'd like to tell a good news: a few days ago the workers of the Ministry in family have done check up in foster families of Crimea. Macevich family has been recognized one of the best families in children's upbringing and children's care. They were given a special certificate about their good attitude to children.

I've discussed your proposition with Galya about selling the Pilgrim building. We will search the area of the train station to see if it's possible to buy all the flats in one yard. I hope to tell you the results soon.

Respectfully. Konstantin.

New Children

March 26, 2009

Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you. I would like to share news about new children in our ministry.

Today Galina and myself took a new girl from the orphanage - Masha Gercanyan. So that Galina has got 8 kids for now. The girl used to live with her mother and when she died, the girl turned to be in an orphanage, she spent three months there.

A few days ago Galina Osipova took two new kids (a brother and a sister) in the place of Sasha Kravchenko. Sasha's mother was alcohol addicted and the son lived in the street. Right now his mother is restoring and we got him back home. Two of the new kids are going through introduction week and making the decision. On Friday the decision will be made as for are they going to stay with Galya or not. It's more probable, that they will stay. Right now Galya has got 4 kids in her care.

Chernov's family is getting ready for a new child in Yevpatoria. This is due to the fact that the government insists on that. Right now they are doing the paperwork. Probably, it will be finished in just a week and the family will get a new boy. Than there will be 7 kids on the family.

These are all of our news. Respectfully.
Konstantin.

News of Construction and Galya

March 21, 2009

We are doing fine.
Construction works in Yevpatoria are going well. Cutting the doors and windows in the walls is the hardest job, probably. Stone blocks are very thick and very hard.
Galina Gudwill's family is getting settled in the new house and are getting ready to accept another girl.
Work is boiling in Piligrim as well, staff is trying to solve as many problems of children, as possible. Galina Osipova felt a bit worse this week, she is constantly very weak. We keep praying for her and expect for her to get better and recover.
We thank our Heavenly Father for all His blessings and His mercy to us all. Brother Charles, give our regards to our friends.

Respectfully and thankfully.
Konstantin.

March 13, 209

Brother Charles and sister Jody, piece and blessings of the Lord to you.

I've received your letter with flights arriving to Kiev. They are going to start selling train tickets for the dates we needs just in a few days. I will get all the necessary tickets, including my tickets to come to meet and to see you off.

I think that we will manage to arrange all the necessary meetings and seminars for parents and staff. Everything is going to be fine, don't worry.

I am glad about the news for a donation for the construction from Angelina. It's God's mercy to us and His blessing.

The workers are doing the work much cheaper than it really costs. After they complete the work, we can order the necessary paperwork to continue construction this year. Right now everything is going just as we planned.

Just some news from here.
1. Politics. Contradictions between different structures of power are still same. No changes in that direction. We are going to have president's election at the end of the year. The situation here is mostly hardened artificially more than naturally. The government does solve some very acute matters though (but of course, with the help of strikes and protests).
2. Economy. Economical crises in Ukraine, by the statistic data, is 40 times harder than in the USA. Unemployment is growing hugely, especially in the industrial towns. Leading banks are still working stable. The small banks that are having problems are controlled by the state. Taxes for the import things have increased.
3. Life. Prices for import goods have grown up. Food prices have been raised within the last two months into 20-30%. Utilities payments have grown up as well. Everyday we hear news about bank's robberies and very brutal murders. There is a new kind of drugs that appeared here and it is spreading through the country quite legally.
4. The ministry. There are most street kids now. Our hospitals are having problems with food for children and lack hygiene means to look after the patients. Foster families of Simferopol have had some problems with getting money from the state. Yevpatoria families don't have these problems yet.

Today we've been very busy with Galina's Gudwill moving into the new house. Kids love the new house very much. It's much bigger than the old one. It's located in a region with very fresh and clean air. There is a school not far from the house. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the center, and about 10 minutes to the railway station. All the expenses with Galina moving into the new house were agreed with Angelina.

We thank the Lord for all His blessings. We are glad to know that so many groups want to come to visit. I have information from Natasha and Jody about visits for 2010. We will be getting ready and will be glad to see everyone. We are praying for you.

Respectfully. Konstantin.

March 12, 2009

Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord.

We have started construction works in Yevpatoria. We will do only a limited amount of works. This has to be done immediately. Right now we are working on paperwork for construction. It needs to be renewed every three years from the very beginning. The old papers were until December 2008.

Galina Gudwill is getting ready to move into the new house. Yesterday they made the treaty and she got the keys. The kids like the new house and the area.

The ministry is boiling in Pilgrim. Staff is trying to solve as many problems of the children as possible. Galya sometimes comes to help in the work.

We all are looking forward your visit and will be ready to do everything we have planned. We are praying for you.

Respectfully. Konstantin.

February 18, 2009

Piece and blessings of the Lord to you, Brother Charles.

I totally agree with your plan as for selling the apartment in Yevpatoria. It took some time to solve some matters.

Chernov's family will make the apartment look nice to the buyers to see it. We started looking for apartment to rent. I gave the information on apartment selling only in two agencies for now.

There are no buyers in the real estate market right now. Nobody can say when the market of real estate will get better. There are many new houses built in Yevpatoria, the apartments aren't sold out there. The process of selling the apartment can be prolonged into a few months. We need to disconnect the heating system from the basement before selling the apartment.

The biggest problem with the apartment selling is the fact that Chernov's family is registered in this apartment with all of their orphan - children. No one will let us register them in their apartments, because it's a big family.

We are looking forward your visit soon.

Respectfully.
Konstantin.

February 11, 2009

Brother Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you.

I'd like to tell you that we are doing fine. The parents and staff are sending you their thankfulness. We've been busy in Yevpatoria repairing the electricity system of the building and installing four electrical cooker hoods. These hoods had been installed to fight against the mold on the walls that has appeared in two bathrooms of Macevich apartment and Chernov's apartment.

Goryainov's apartment has got a big advantage - their bathrooms have windows and are aired all the time. Macevich have bathrooms without windows, and are inside the apartment. Chernov's have the problems with mold all the time - it's an apartment problem.

We plan to make complete renovation of the kitchen in Chernov's apartment - the mold has completely destroyed the floor and is coming out. We will need to place them somewhere for the renovation time. I can't think of how to make this possible.

With respect and prayers for you.
Konstantin.

January 30, 2009

Dear brother Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you.

I'd like to tell you that we are doing fine. The ministry is still at a good level. We are planning to work with our guests.

We are developing a new form for working with children in Pilgrim. We have two volunteers who are helping us develop a little film-studio on the bases of the photo-club. Everyone was excited when being shot in the first experimental movie. Luba is joining us February the1st, she is a good staff worker. Galya is still getting treatment, her health is becoming worse than better again. She misses her job when she has to stay in bed at home. But sometimes she comes to help with the ministry.

Everything is going smooth in Yevpatoria, the families are doing fine.
A few days ago I've been called to come to the city counseling and they asked me again about the terms for the Chernov's apartment, when it will be ready. I didn't tell them anything specific.

We are praying about you and all our friends.
Respectfully.
Konstantin.

January 22, 2009

Note: When I noticed that one of our better workers (Bogdan) was missing from a recent report, I asked about him. This is the reply.

Dear brother Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you.

The problem, that happened to Bogdan needs a lot of prayers and understanding. A few months ago Bodgan opened his own business - it's a mini laundry. Due to the economical crisis in this country, his business died. He happened to have a lot of debts. He started getting away from the creditors, stopped coming to work and started drinking.

I will tell you the information about Bogdan as soon as something becomes clear. Right now we are praying for him and his wife.

The treaty had been made with Russia about the gas. The struggle had been stopped. Dollar is coming down. But enterprises are still suffering.

We are praying for a soon recovery for Ukraine and for all the crises to finally finish.

Respectfully.
Konstantin.

January 16, 2009

Dear brother Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you.

We are doing fine. We have got gas everywhere in the houses and it's warm.
God protects us by His mercy. I'd like to give Galina's Osipova thanks to you for your encouragement and participation in her needs.

She is asking you not to worry about the medicine. It can be delivered from the Moscow and the medicine that our doctors know. We keep praying for Galina's recovery. Her condition is still the same.

We are glad that we will have many guests visiting us this year. All the staff and parents are ready to give any help to organize their arrival and the ministry here. I will be looking forward your first information on the first group.

I'd like to tell you that we got three boxes with clothes, socks and peanut butter. Those are the boxes that Natasha asked about. Tell her a lot of thanx from everyone - it's a good Christmas present!

Everyone is experiencing hard times, prices grow again and unemployment is growing too.

Praise the Lord for His love, that the Crimean ministry to orphans keeps growing. Brother Charles, tell all our friends and those who are planning to come, how thankful we are and may they all be blessed.

Respectfully. Konstantin.

January 9, 2009

Dear brother Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you for the New Year!

We all thank you for your greetings and encouragement. All the staff and parents are sending you their thanks. Everyone is looking forward your arrival.

Right now Russia has started a cruel economical war with the Ukraine.
They totally closed down gas for Ukraine and transition gas through Ukraine to Europe. The situation is absolutely sharp. No one knows when this will come to an end and what will be the end.

The holidays are left behind and usual working days have been started.
We had two holiday days at the Pilgrim, with the special program and presents – both for New Year and Christmas. We didn't have many children – just 18 kids. Everyone liked it very much.

Health of Galya Osipova isn't getting any better. She is physically very weak even to come to see a doctor from her home, she comes to the doctor every other day. We found out that the medicine she needs can be found in Russia – we asked one of the churches.

We are hoping for the mercy of the Lord in every matter and problem.

Respectfully. Konstantin.

Christmas 2008 Greetings

December 23, 2008

Piece and blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ to you.

We greet you and your family with the godly holiday of joy – Christmas! It's when the Love of our Heavenly Father came down to earth; it's when the Light winning everything came to shine the path of salvation for us; it's when the Hope for piece came to give us wings and fill us with the strength of eagles; it's when our King was born so that we could leave the kingdom of darkness forever.

We thank God for being united with you in His one family, in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are happy and we praise Heaven together with you, our dear friends, once we had Christmas in our hearts. We ask you to give our greetings to all our brothers and sisters, all our friends who know us. We thank you all for your prayers and your support in the ministry that has been given to our hands in Crimea.

When this world is becoming more full with darkness, our hearts are lightened by Christmas and ready for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. You are in our prayers always. We always rejoice for the news we get and look forward more news. Praise God for all of His deeds.

With love and respect. Konstantin.

December 20, 2008

Piece and blessings of the Lord, to you.

We thank you for the support and encouragement during this difficult time. Galya Osipova is expressing her gratitude for your prayers and the help you offered. The Lord is our hope in everything. Galya is still treating TB and keeps hear blood tests. Right now her condition is satisfactory. She is still very weak and feeling sleepy. She will try to find good doctors and good treatment.

Children in Galina's Gudwill family got adjusted well but we still work on their paperwork. New children in Chernov's family are feeling all right as well and they are happy about their new parents. Unfortunately, the state isn't giving any financial support for these children yet – they say that in January and February the family isn't going to get any support for them.

Total situation in Ukraine is very interesting and unpredictable. The government is trying to make it look so as if they were working. The economy is falling down rapidly. Nothing is being done to overcome the crisis. The banks do not give any credits. Salaries aren't paid out. Products aren't selling from the enterprises. Unemployment is increasing fastly. Prices for real estate, cars and home supplies are getting down. Prices for food have increased.A wave of robberies and murders has covered the country. The banks and the apartments are robbed. The old age people are killed for their little retirement pension. People get into the buses in the day time and rob people. People who have received their money in the bank or had done currency exchange are getting killed right there in the street. We keep praying for this all to end up and we thank God for every day that we have lived through.

Staff in Pilgrim is preparing program and presents for the kids. The Bookkeepers are busy with yearly reports for the government officials. All in all the ministry is going on. Everybody will be happy for the Christmas bonuses.

We thank God for every sacrificial heart. We are praying for you.

Respectfully. Konstantin.
