January 30, 2009

Dear brother Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you.

I'd like to tell you that we are doing fine. The ministry is still at a good level. We are planning to work with our guests.

We are developing a new form for working with children in Pilgrim. We have two volunteers who are helping us develop a little film-studio on the bases of the photo-club. Everyone was excited when being shot in the first experimental movie. Luba is joining us February the1st, she is a good staff worker. Galya is still getting treatment, her health is becoming worse than better again. She misses her job when she has to stay in bed at home. But sometimes she comes to help with the ministry.

Everything is going smooth in Yevpatoria, the families are doing fine.
A few days ago I've been called to come to the city counseling and they asked me again about the terms for the Chernov's apartment, when it will be ready. I didn't tell them anything specific.

We are praying about you and all our friends.
Respectfully.
Konstantin.

Note: When I noticed that one of our better workers (Bogdan) was missing from a recent report, I asked about him. This is the reply.

Dear brother Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you.

The problem, that happened to Bogdan needs a lot of prayers and understanding. A few months ago Bodgan opened his own business - it's a mini laundry. Due to the economical crisis in this country, his business died. He happened to have a lot of debts. He started getting away from the creditors, stopped coming to work and started drinking.

I will tell you the information about Bogdan as soon as something becomes clear. Right now we are praying for him and his wife.

The treaty had been made with Russia about the gas. The struggle had been stopped. Dollar is coming down. But enterprises are still suffering.

We are praying for a soon recovery for Ukraine and for all the crises to finally finish.

Respectfully.
Konstantin.

Dear brother Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you.

We are doing fine. We have got gas everywhere in the houses and it's warm.
God protects us by His mercy. I'd like to give Galina's Osipova thanks to you for your encouragement and participation in her needs.

She is asking you not to worry about the medicine. It can be delivered from the Moscow and the medicine that our doctors know. We keep praying for Galina's recovery. Her condition is still the same.

We are glad that we will have many guests visiting us this year. All the staff and parents are ready to give any help to organize their arrival and the ministry here. I will be looking forward your first information on the first group.

I'd like to tell you that we got three boxes with clothes, socks and peanut butter. Those are the boxes that Natasha asked about. Tell her a lot of thanx from everyone - it's a good Christmas present!

Everyone is experiencing hard times, prices grow again and unemployment is growing too.

Praise the Lord for His love, that the Crimean ministry to orphans keeps growing. Brother Charles, tell all our friends and those who are planning to come, how thankful we are and may they all be blessed.

Respectfully. Konstantin.

Dear brother Charles, piece and blessings of the Lord to you for the New Year!

We all thank you for your greetings and encouragement. All the staff and parents are sending you their thanks. Everyone is looking forward your arrival.

Right now Russia has started a cruel economical war with the Ukraine.
They totally closed down gas for Ukraine and transition gas through Ukraine to Europe. The situation is absolutely sharp. No one knows when this will come to an end and what will be the end.

The holidays are left behind and usual working days have been started.
We had two holiday days at the Pilgrim, with the special program and presents – both for New Year and Christmas. We didn't have many children – just 18 kids. Everyone liked it very much.

Health of Galya Osipova isn't getting any better. She is physically very weak even to come to see a doctor from her home, she comes to the doctor every other day. We found out that the medicine she needs can be found in Russia – we asked one of the churches.

We are hoping for the mercy of the Lord in every matter and problem.

Respectfully. Konstantin.

Christmas 2008 Greetings

December 23, 2008

Piece and blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ to you.

We greet you and your family with the godly holiday of joy – Christmas! It's when the Love of our Heavenly Father came down to earth; it's when the Light winning everything came to shine the path of salvation for us; it's when the Hope for piece came to give us wings and fill us with the strength of eagles; it's when our King was born so that we could leave the kingdom of darkness forever.

We thank God for being united with you in His one family, in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are happy and we praise Heaven together with you, our dear friends, once we had Christmas in our hearts. We ask you to give our greetings to all our brothers and sisters, all our friends who know us. We thank you all for your prayers and your support in the ministry that has been given to our hands in Crimea.

When this world is becoming more full with darkness, our hearts are lightened by Christmas and ready for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. You are in our prayers always. We always rejoice for the news we get and look forward more news. Praise God for all of His deeds.

Piece and blessings of the Lord, to you.

We thank you for the support and encouragement during this difficult time. Galya Osipova is expressing her gratitude for your prayers and the help you offered. The Lord is our hope in everything. Galya is still treating TB and keeps hear blood tests. Right now her condition is satisfactory. She is still very weak and feeling sleepy. She will try to find good doctors and good treatment.

Children in Galina's Gudwill family got adjusted well but we still work on their paperwork. New children in Chernov's family are feeling all right as well and they are happy about their new parents. Unfortunately, the state isn't giving any financial support for these children yet – they say that in January and February the family isn't going to get any support for them.

Total situation in Ukraine is very interesting and unpredictable. The government is trying to make it look so as if they were working. The economy is falling down rapidly. Nothing is being done to overcome the crisis. The banks do not give any credits. Salaries aren't paid out. Products aren't selling from the enterprises. Unemployment is increasing fastly. Prices for real estate, cars and home supplies are getting down. Prices for food have increased.A wave of robberies and murders has covered the country. The banks and the apartments are robbed. The old age people are killed for their little retirement pension. People get into the buses in the day time and rob people. People who have received their money in the bank or had done currency exchange are getting killed right there in the street. We keep praying for this all to end up and we thank God for every day that we have lived through.

Staff in Pilgrim is preparing program and presents for the kids. The Bookkeepers are busy with yearly reports for the government officials. All in all the ministry is going on. Everybody will be happy for the Christmas bonuses.

We thank God for every sacrificial heart. We are praying for you.

Respectfully. Konstantin.
